Mixed Bunch

This is probably my favorite stamp set and punch from the new Occasions Mini catalog fro Stampin' Up! These were made from fellow demonstrators.

The stamp set has 6 different stamps ($21.95 for clear/ $27.95 for wood) and they coordinate with a punch ($16.95) so they are easy to assemble. The designer series paper is called Twitterpated and it is $10.95 for 12 sheets (2 ea of 6 double-sided paper). This also uses the Pleated Satin Ribbon in Riding Hood Red.

Love this card, lots of texture.
It also uses the Mixed Bunch stamp set and also uses a stamp set Friendly Phrases from the Idea Book and Catalog.

This stamp set is from the Occasions mini and it is called Candy Conversations. It is $8.95.
It is also using new product from the mini ...textured impressions embossing folder, edgelits die adorning accentsand the pleated ribbon in Blushing Bride.

This is another great sample using the P.S. I Love You stamp set ($27.95 clear and $34.95 wood). This set has a total of 15 stamps. And the Satin Pleated ribbon has 5 yds and retails fro $6.95.

My upline, Shelly May, has a shoebox swap each time a new catalog comes out so new ideas can be shared by other demonstrators and we make these swaps before the new catalog is out (a perk as a demo). Here are just a few of the swaps I received....

This card uses the new stamp set called P.S. I Love You and the new designer series paper called Twitterpated. The ribbon is also in the new Occasions mini and it is Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon. The hearts were punched out using the Full Heart punch. The stamp set has 15 different stamps and retails for $27.95 clear or $34.95 for wood.

This one is also using the P.S. I Love you stamp set and the designer series paper called Twitterpated. It is also using the new embossing folder called Adorning Accents. It is the strip of hearts along the bottom of the Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The scallop edge is a new edgelit die for the Big Shot also called adorning Accents.

Adorable Box

I CASE'D ( copy and share with everyone) this cute little box from Stamping Moon. This is a perfect size for a small trinket. I put good old chocolate in this one. Can't go wrong there.

The carstock is Bashful Blue and the Designer Series Paper is Beau Chateau. The punches I used are the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, Fancy Flower, and the 1 1/4" circle. The stamp set used on the flower punches is With All My Heart. A rhinestone brad tops it off.

January Stampin' Up! Club

This month for my stamp club we used products from the new Stampin' Up! Occasions mini catalog. The card we made used the stamp set called Mouthwatering. Stampin' Up! has some new embossing powder that is scented that works great with this. It comes in vanilla, melon and cherry. We used a versamark pen to outline the ice cream cone with the vanilla scented powder.

The cardstock colors we used are Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso. The fancy edge is from a new die cut for the Big Shot called Adorning Accents. I found the color combination from the Color Coach. The Happy Birthday can found from a stamp set called Curly Cute.

I did the same technique on this card for Fall. The leaves are colored with a clear embossing powder over multiple other colors. And then I used Soft Suede ink over the entire card.

My upline is doing a swap this weekend for the new Holiday Mini and this is what I came up with. The stamp set and punch are coming in the new mini. The stamp set is called Stitched Stockings and the punch is the Stocking Builder Punch. The embossing folder is also in the mini and it is called Snow Burst.The stockings have a new embellishment called Dazzling Details. All of these will be available on Sept 1st.

We made the very cool pansy from 2 butterfly punches. I made this one before for a wedding I attended so I just changed the sentiment to a birthday and everyone loved it.

The recipe is

This is the 3D item we made at my club this past weekend. I followed the instructions from Angie Juda and it was a breeze to assemble. I love the grunge flower!

The recipe is

cardstock: rose red, pacific point, lucky limeade and pretty in pink

punches: fancy flower, scallop, lace ribbon border and large oval

Access: pretty in pink ribbon, rhinestones, silver brad, paper piercer, flower folds die cut and small bag from craft store

I used the circle cutter to make the 6” circle and cut off a small piece from the bottom to make the purse shape.

The 3D item I cased from stampingbythesea (thank you) and I can't believe just how simple it was to make. I used gum for my project but there are so many possibilities for this like candy bars, conversation hearts, cocoa packets...the list goes on

Christmas Cards in July

I had my first Christmas in July class on Saturday and had a lot of fun. We made eight cards total ( 4 designs, 2 of each) and a 3D item that can be a gift idea for the holidays. I will be doing these classes for the next 3 months. I will be happy to get a jump start on my Christmas cards and have less stress at one of the mose stressful times of the year.

More cards from the Summer Mini class I held....This is a stamp set called Sail Away..great for those manly cards! The adventure stamp is from another stamp set named Travel Log.
This card uses the stamp set from the Hostess set named Swirls and Verses. Love it! The Designer Series paper is Sunny Garden which is retiring the end of June. Get it while it lasts.

This is a great 6x6 scrap page that I adapted from a card from Stamping Moon. It uses the stamp set Travel Log also. I will be using for some summer traveling I have planned in July.
The automobiles at the top right are stamped in Versamark and the embossed in clear powder.

This is the scrapbook page we also made at my March club.

It's hard to tell in the picture but this is actually Poppy Parade cardstock. The other colors are Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight. Page is great for a boy or a girl. The paper I used on the cupcake liner is Sunny Garden. I used the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp on the reverse side if the paper and cut it out and then crimped it. Colored in the cherry with Poppy Parade and added Dazzling Diamondsfor some sparkle. The other cupcakes are stamped and then punched out with the new cupcake punch. I used the hemp twine to add the banner.

Here are the items we created at club this month. The card uses the stamp set Bliss from Sale A Bration. I did the rock and roll technique with Not Quite Navy and Sahara Sand classic ink. I also used Not Quite Navy classic ink on the the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and ran it thru. Super cool effect!!

The Vanilla Rosette is featured in the Occasions Mini.(pg. 16)Then we added some pearls for a nice touch.

This is what my club made this month. I am so tired of the cold and the snow that I decided to use Spring colors and flowers.

This is a close up of the glitter window. I did the packing tape on the back of the cardstock and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over the packing tape. They loved it!!!!

And then for the page we used the owl from Punch Bunch and the Friend sentiment.

The 3 d item is made using the Two Tag Die and the Big Shot.

I followed the directions from DoStamping and it was super easy to make. We put teas bags in it.

I love it when my daughter can join in on card making for her friends and family. She made this card for her teacher. I just came across this picture and I know it is really but I thought she would like it posted regardless of the date.

Her teacher is a Pepsi fanatic so we got her a 2 liter and a bag of candy canes.

Valentines Day Club

Changing gears to Valentine’s Day…….

While looking at other blogs lately I have a million ideas for my club members but I finally settled on these.

The first one is a case from Inking Idaho. This is super simple and fast to make. I used the patterned paper from the special that Stampin’ Up! is running right now. The box is Real Red cardstock and everything is held together with Tombow glue. The heart punch is using the Glitter paper from the new mini. It is soooo glittery!!! Love the bling…..

The next two projects are ideas I cased from Stampin’ Pretty. I used a stamp set from the new mini, itty bitty buttons, clear sizzlits scalloped rectangle and hemp twine. The main card is Whisper White and the stripe paper is from the designer paper from the special. The scrapbook page I tried to keep masculine or feminine since most of my club members have boys and girls. The main page is Early Espresso and I cut 1 inch of each side of Whisper White cardstock for the mat. The polka dot paper is also from the paper that is on special.

Snowman

Here is my page for my Stampin' Up! club. I used Baja Breeze cardstock for the main page and Night of Navy for the center. I ripped Whisper White cardstock, sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink and added the Glass Glitter.

The snowman is made from the Circles #2 die cut and the Snowflake punch. The eyes are black brads and the nose is just a snip of Peach Pizzazz.

I added a touch of Tinsel ribbon, a snowflake with a glittery brad in the center to finish it off.

Scallopped Gift Card Holder

I am so glad that Patty Bennett has a tutorial on how to make the scallopped edge envelope die cut bigger (for the Big Shot) on her blog. My club members like the scallop envelope but wished it was be bigger to fit a gift card. Well it can be. Thank you Patty.

I used Tiny Tags and the jewerly punch for the embellishments. Whisper White ribbon and a little bit of Hemp Twine finishes it off nicely. The cardstock is a Level 1 hostess item.

I am having my monthly club over tonight and we are making some Wicked Cool items. First is the card, it is a gate fold card and the technique this month is bleaching. The spider web is bleached behind the witch.

Well, all I can say is life is busy and my blog has been pushed to the side more often than not. I am starting my club back up this month and I have been inspired by many other crafters. My scrapbook page and my 3-D item are CASE’s of other crafters.

I had fun playing with some stamps and cardstock today. I finalized the card I will be doing at a card class the end of this month. The first one is a case from my upline Shelly May. Hers was in a pink and brown color scheme but I wanted to change it up a little and here is what I came up with.....

I used Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip designer series paper. The ice cream is covered in dazzling diamonds using the two way glue. My daughter asked if she could have it when I am done with my class. I guess it is a winner.

Planning for a Workshop

I am trying to get organized enough to put together a class for the new Summer Mini catalog. With school just letting out for the summer I should be able to breathe a little and get it done. I made myself sit in my scrapbook room today and put together the cards I had made sketches of a while ago.

I am trying to use some of the colors of cardstock that are retiring soon. And mix it up with some returning colors.

I still have a couple to put together. I plan to do a scratch and sniff card using the Sweet Scoops set and something fun with the Itty Bitty stamp set.

Ok I know this is not entirely Stampin' Up! so please forgive me. I just am really excited about this project that I want to share it. The designer paper is all Stampin' Up! and the main cardstock is Basic Black and Whisper White. The chunky glitter is Stampin' Up! The tab punch is also Stampin' Up! I wish we sold something like the electronic die cut machine, but we don't at this current time. (The Big Shot is great)any way, I have made this for the dance studio in town. The recital is Mother's Day weekend and the theme is The Wizard of Oz.

My friend has a dance studio and her recital is coming up, I made some gifts for the dancers. Her theme is The Wizard of Oz and I thought of the ruby slippers. I found this pattern on line somewhere and this is what I came up with.....

Pretty cute, huh? I used the heat and stick powder to adhere the Chunky Red glitter to the shoe. The stamp set is Baroque Motifs (one of my all time favorites!). The witches shoe has a Chunky Black glitter "buckle" on the front for a little bling.

I added some candy as an extra gift, the candy is just Skittles because in my corny sense of humor I thought of it being "a rainbow of flavors" I know...corny!!!

St Patty’s Day

I am going to see my sister-in-law tomorrow and I thought I would make her something and this is what I came up with.

I used up some retired Kiwi Kiss cardstock for the milk carton and used Always Artichoke for the other green. The little hearts are punched out from the new Designer Series paper in the Mini Occasions catalog. It’s too hard to see but the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and says Happy St Patrick’s Day. I versamarked the Watercolor Vine jumbo wheel around the carton before I put it all together. I filled it up with Whoppers. I hope she likes it…

February Stamp Club

When I finished putting together the post for my March club I realized I did not have the February club, oops, life gets busy.

So here are the projects from February… “Springy” isn’t it! I used the embossing folder called Elegant Bouquet. And the “flutter bys” are from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It is a Stampin’ Up! embosslits die called Beautiful Wings. The scallop is made with a punch from Sale A Bration catalog and it can be yours with a $50 purchase thru the end of March. The stamp set is called Celebrate Everything.

A great card for Spring…

The die cut is Flower Daisies #2 and the stamp set is called Bella’s Bloom, a set you can get free with Sale A Bration $50 purchase.

My sister was the hostess for the month and she ask that we make a cone for filling with flowers or candy….

I used the designer paper called Sending Love, it has a touch of bling. The flower is from Die Cuts called Blooms (pg 169 in the Idea Book and Catalog). The stamp set is With All My Heart.

Spring Is Finally In The Air

I am so glad it is warming up and I am ready to put away the Christmas colors and break out the Spring patterns. I was getting ready for my club meeting this month and tried really hard not to use the Big Shot for everything, A few of my club members don’t have a Big Shot and the remark was made last club that it is hard to duplicate some projects at home. I mentioned that I was willing to let them come to my house anytime (within reason) and bring their own supplies and cut out some dies to make at home. I don’t want anyone to feel frustrated about being in the club.

Anyway here are some fun projects that are great for Spring….

The technique I was using this month is spotlighting/reverse spotlighting. I have never done these until now. What fun. It didn’t take much to make these projects and the wow factor is huge.

The scrapbook page is the spotlighting sample…..

I spotlighted the flower from the Kind and Caring Thoughts (level 3 hostess set). The main paper is Melon Mambo and the flowers are Rich Razzleberry. I highlighted the melon Mambo flower with a punch of Basic Black.

This card reminds me of a Hawaiian shirt…. What do you think?

I used the reverse spotlighting on this one.The stamp set is Circle Circus and the colors I used are Cameo Coral, Ruby Red and Certainly Celery. Super simple!!

And last but not least…..

I love this little “whopper” box, as I like to call it. I broke down and used this die cut for the club. One out of three isn’t bad right!?! I used Summer Sun cardstock and the patterned paper is Cottage Wall. The ribbon is Whisper White. After I stamped the bunny(from the Eggcoutrements stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog) in Summer Sun ink, I punched the bunny out and layered it on Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I fill it with Strawberry Whoppers, Yummy!!

January Stamp Club Bookmark

Do you know how sometimes you just can't think up a good design and decide to use the ideas from others who have created something wonderful (otherwise known as a CASE, copy and share with everyone). I did that with the bookmark I "made". It is an example of things you can make with the new stamp set called Vintage Vogue. This bookmark is on page 27 of the new Occasions mini available Jan 5th.

I started by running some Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot using the Texturz Plate with the small polka dot design. Then I used Soft Suede ink for the flower and the row of flowers.

The gingham type of paper design is from the new paper pack called Sweet Pea. I used the Circle Designer brad to attach the Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon to the bookmark. I rounded all of the corners to finish it off.

January Scrapbook Page

I had a hard time coming up with this idea for a page. I am still in Christmas mode and the snow in my area is awful. First I thought of doing a winter scene and realized that would be crazy. I am sick of snow and I am really ready for the Spring thaw!!

So I am starting to think of Valentine's Day knowing that is getting closer to Spring.
I used Pretty in Pink cardstock and the Sending Love Specialty paper from the Occasions mini. I punched the edge with the new Scallop Trim Border and then sponged the edges with Real Red ink. I used the heart punch for the elements and sponged those with Real Red and Basic Brown. The stamp set is also from the Occasions mini and is called With All My Heart.I used Pretty in Pink and Real Red for the colors. The small flower on the heart is inked in Basic Brown and I put a Real Red brad in it. I discovered the small flower fits in the Three Flowers punch, very handy to know!!
I punched out a stencil with the new Small Heart punch and used a sponge to color it in with Basic Brown. I raised one of the Full Heart punches wiht dimensionals to add a little height.

January Stampin’ Club

I am excited to be moving on past Christmas card making and start using some new colors and ideas. I was making my things for my club members and realized I was completely out of Real Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock. So I was forced to go outside of my comfort level and use different shades of red and brown. So I managed to figure out some other ways to use what was available and here is what I came up……

A simple pocket card made with the new designer paper from the Sale A Bration mini catalog. The paper is called Welcome Neighbor. The main card is Melon Mambo and the accent color is Old Olive. I snailed it behind the flap of the pocket. I punched it with the new punch featured in the new Occasions mini called Pinking Hearts Border.

I realized after the picture was taken that you couldn’t tell what was around the Old Olive ribbon. I used the new Medium Jewelry Tag and punched out the words”friend” and “hello” and attached them with a silver cord around the Old Olive ribbon.

Iridescent Ice Dasher

I am using embossing techniques for my club this month and one way to use embossing powder is to highlight an area to make it shine. I versamarked the cardstock after I stamped Dasher in Mellow Moss ink. Then I covered the entire piece of cardstock with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat set it. The small snowflake at the top is made to shine by using the versamark pen to just parts of the snowflake and then adding the embossing powder and heat setting it. Thanks for stopping by…..

Emboss Resist Snowflakes

Trying out the emboss resist technique for my club project. It is very simple. All you need to do is versamark the snowflakes on the whisper white cardstock and the emboss it with any color powder. I used clear since I wanted the white to show through for the flakes. Then you simply add another color over the top of the embossing powder. I used a sponge loading with Brocade Blue and sponged all over it and then used a tissue to remove the ink from the embossed areas.

Sweet Centers Lollipop

Love, love , love this stamp set. I made these for my daughters Halloween party at school. They were super simple to put together. I used Crushed Curry cardstock and Rich Razzleberry ink. I punched out the center with the large oval punch and glued it inside the card so that when the lollipop was gone there was a surprise inside. A simple staple is all I used to hold it together.

I also made yummy ghosts. They are made out of nutter butter cookies and vanilla frosting. I put mini chocolate chips in the frosting for the eyes. They were both a hit with her classmates.

Fancy Favor Thanksgiving box

Isn't this the cutest box ever? Well it will be until I create another one next month...

This is a big xl die exclusive to Stampin' Up! called Fancy Favor. we first cut it out with the big shot and then wheeled the Bright Blessings along the bottom edge with Bravo Burgundy. The ribbon at the top is also Bravo Burgundy with a little piece of Certainly Celery tied around it.

The little acorn is a stamp from Falling Leaves. We punched it out with the small tag punch and then layered it with the large tag punch with Certainly Celery cardstockand tied it to the other ribbons with the silver cord.

The best part is the tootsie rolls that we filled it up with!!

A Flurry of Leaves

I think Fall is my favorite time of year!! I love the changing of the leaves and the warm colors that they inspire. I made this with my club in October. We used the shimmer paint for the leaves punched out at the bottom of the page, they are from the stamp set called Falling Leaves. The die cut leaves we used the Big Shot on with the Designer Series paper, Razzleberry Lemonade. The cardstock colors are the in colors: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Dusty Durango. The ribbon slide is from the Hodgepodge Hardware. And lastly, the stamp set that I used the “Give Thanks” is from a hostess set called Holiday Best.

Shimmery Medallion

The card we made this month at my club was this shimmery medallion. The shimmer paint is so easy to use and looks really cool on the Always Artichoke cardstock.

After we stamped the Medallion we used Basic Brown to stamp the center of the medallion and punched it out with the large circle punch and then layered it with dimensionals. The rhinestone brad in the center finished it off.

Mini catalog Goodies

This is one of the new stamp sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog that we can now order from. It is called Sweet Treats. The card is also a new in color called Dusty Durango, a perfect color for Halloween. The treat cup is also available in the mini cattie. They are a really cute way to give the gift of chocolate. The green is called Old Olive.

The inside of the card is a case (copy and share with everyone) from a great blog called craftdoc. She has some neat ideas on her blog!

The design is so the card won’t be ripped apart when someone tries to get out the candy. The Basic Black cardstock is slipped under another piece of cardstock and it hides the opening of the treat cup so the candy can be poured out easily, it can also be refilled to regift it wanted.

This is the scrapbook page my stamp club will be making this month. The Perfect Plum cardstock is put on a piece of

8 1/2x11 Basic Black. I cut a strip of the designer series paper (dsp) called Cast-a –Spell and glued it down on the left side of the page.

The little skeleton with the doggie having him for a snack is a stamp set in the mini called Twick or Tweet. I sponged a little Pumpkin Pie ink around the skeleton to soften it up a little. The green dsp is also from Cast-a Spell. I finished it off with a couple of More Mustard brads. Love it!!

And the final project for my club is an adorable little box called a pillow box. This is made using a die from Stampin’ Up! called a Pillow Box die. Who would of guessed. The stamp set is called Pumpkin Patch and it is really cute and easy to use.

I will find some little goodie to put inside .

Amanda’s Birthday Bash

I finally made a banner from the pennant die !!!

It was my daughter’s birthday and I wanted her to have a cool banner for her party. Her colors were purple, white and silver. I used whisper white, plum and cottage wall dsp. I used the sticky cuts letters and spelled her name out using the silver glitter. And to add some more bling… I used the ice rhinestone brads to top it off. I figured out how to hang it using the silver cord and it turned out pretty cute. She loved it!!! So of course I had to make her a card to match…………… Yes it is upside down, we did not notice until now; but oh well, what can you do?

I hope you get the idea. And she was so excited to get her first official stamp set of her own!! It was on my wish list so I guess now I will have to borrow it from her!!

Scallop Envie box

This is the final project for my club. We are going to use the scallop envelope to make this box. I originally saw this idea on Dannie's Designs blog. She is very talented!!

We are using the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper as well as in colors called Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo. And to finish it off we will put a rhinestone brad in the center of the Circle Circus stamp.

We will fill it with some candy (after I get it at the store tonight) and possibly use it for a teacher gift on the first day of school.

Rich Razzleberry Page

I am loving this new in color from Stampin' Up! It is called Rich Razzleberry. I think it is my favorite of all the new in colors, I am sure once I use more of the others that may change.

This is the page my club members will be making this month. I used the Big Shot for the scalloped envelope and the flower strip along the edge. Super fast and super simple!! It is hard to tell in the picture but I used the Cottage Wall DSP for the flower strip. The colors of the page are Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and Rich Razzleberry.

The stamp set I used is called Best Wishes and More.

Now I just need to start prepping all of the cardstock for club night.

This card just makes me hunger for some neopolitan ice cream!!! I found this idea from chicnscratch's blog and thought how perfect it would be for my first club meeting this month. It is very easy to put together, the hardest part was deciding which "flavors" to pick.
I am focusing on the Big Shot for the club since I just recently bought one for myself. What a great and fun toy!! I used the Top Note die for the background. The cardstock is from the Cottage Wall Designer Series paper. (my favorite one so far). I then just used the scallop to punch out the scoops and sponged the edges a little. The scoops are popped up with dimensionals.
I used the Texturz Plates (Stampin' Up Backgrounds 1) f0r the waffle effect on the cone.

I am starting up my Stampin' Up! club again this month and I thought as a gift to my past and hopefully future members I would send them a card I made for them with the contract and a business card. I left the card blank inside so they could add their own sentiment and reuse it for their own gift giving. This is what I came up with... hope they like it!!!!!

I used the Friendly Words jumbo wheel and the punch is called Heart to Heart. I used Pretty in Pink for the cardstock and the ink. The base of the card is Always Artichoke.

Definitely Decorative Crown

My friend owns a dance studio here in my town and she has a class for little ones with a princess theme. She also lets me do some of my classes at her studio. I wanted to thank her so this is what I made for her..................................

Kind Thoughts

Time for another challenge and this card completes two challenges. The first one is a color challenge from kwerner and the second one is a card sketch challenge from splitcoaststampers.
I used the new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Kind Thoughts (a level 3 set) and the sentiment is from Trendy Trees.

The colors are Basic Grey, More Mustard, Real Rust and Very Vanilla Please ignore the date on the card, I can not figure out how to take it off and I did not notice it when I took the picture.

Simply Sent Card Elements

Look at all this stuff!!!! This all came from a Simply Sent card element kit called Rock Star. The kit is designed to make 9 cards all in all. Well, I am a scrapbooker first and a card maker second so I decided to just make 2 cards of each design and then make the 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 scrapbook pages with what was left over. I had plenty of stickers and ribbon and designer paper to make the pages!! Here are close ups of the projects.

Here is the card I put together with some of the leftovers ......

The kit goes along nicely with the Starring You stamp set. Both the Simply Sent kit and the stamp set can be found on page 166 of the Stampin' Up! catalog. Here is a picture of all you get with it ( there are 2 sheets of the papers and 1 sheet of the stickers).....

I'm back it has been a while since I blogged lately....but I am back with a card I made from a couple of challenges from this week. So elegant, if I do say so myself! I have a bazillion thank you's to make for all of the generous people who helped my family out during the loss of my Mother-in-Law. I think this card will be one of them.

I used the color challenge this time from Diva Coffee Break Designs. The colors I used are Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Grey, and Very Vanilla. It's hard to tell from the piture that the flower is matted on Vanilla. I stamped the flower from Heartfelt Thanks with craft white ink and then embossed it with clear powder to help set it and give it a little gloss. Thanks for stopping by!

Funky Flower Layers

What a funky color combo this is!!! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it exactly. But once I got creating it just kinda fell into place. I used the Big Shot die called Flower Layers.

The stamp set (sorry for the blurry pic) is from the Occasions Mini and it is called Oval All. Great color challenge this week. Definitely out of my ordinary color choices!! But that is what keeps me wanting to do them!!!

Heartfelt flowers

Here is the scrapbook page I made for my club. I used the technique of "thumpin". That basically means to stamp the flower in a light color and the "thump" the marker on top of the lighter ink with a darker ink. Then you lightly mist the stamp with water and stamp on the paper.

For this one I used Pretty in Pink and Lovely Lilac for the colors. I just used the flower outline on top of the stamped images. The stamp set I used was Heartfelt Thanks.

This is a simple card I made to show off the wheel. I used the jumbo wheel called It's Beautiful in Bashful Blue ink. The birthday wishes is from Wow Flowers.

I love the simplicity of this card. The sentiment is actually on the inside of the card and I punched the front of the card out with the Word Window punch

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

This is a card I made for my stamp club. I got the idea from the Stampin Success catalog that I get each month for being a demo.

The cardstock I used was Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

The stamp set is called Tart and Tangy. The ribbon is Certainly Celery. The way I colored the "chocolate" dipped strawberries is just by simply using markers to color in where I wanted the chocolate to show. Thanks for stopping by.

This is so simple and "adorable" I just love it. I made this 6x6 page for a tech class for beginners. I was showcasing punches and how easy they are to use and the great embellishments they can make. I have always been a fan of brown and pink together.
The paper is from Stampin Up and it is called Sweet Always. The other cardstock is choc chip and regal rose. The stamp set I used is Warm Words. The punches used are the large oval , reg oval and photo corner.

I haven't used this stamp set in a long time so I figured it was time to dust it off. The stamp set is called Garden Whimsy. The "happiness" is from Warm Words. The sketch is from Diva Coffee Break Designs.
I used Mellow Moss, Perfect Plum, and Very Vanilla cardstock and inks. I added a few cute little buttons to balance the left side better.

This is a card I made with a sketch by Mojo Monday and the color combo is from Splitcoast stampers.

Birthday Wishes

This is my card for the different challenges I played this go around this week. I really like how the Tangerine Tango pops off of the page.

The color inspiration is from kwerner and the card sketch is from mojo monday.

The paper I used is from the Chocolate Chip Designer paper, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango. The So Saffron ribbon is from the Sale A Bration mini catalog (only a few days left to order, hint hint). The "birthday wishes" is from the Wow Flowers stamp set. I stamped it in versa mark and then embossed it with white Stampin' Up! powder. I used the scallop edge puch for the detail at the bottom. And to attach the flowers that I cut from the die cut I used So Saffron brads.

Envelope Scrapbook #2

I made another of these envelope scrapbooks and I will be giving this one to my mom when I get all three kids Spring pictures from the schools. These are very easy to make and you can make a few pretty fast once you get all of the measurements.

On this scrapbook I used the Designer Series Paper from the Sale A Bration mini called Delicate Dots. This paper has lots of nice spring colors and patterns.

The directions are to score an 8 1/2x 11 piece of cardstock at 2", 2 1/4", 6 3/4", and 7"

The inside is three business size envelopes, sealed, and then cut to 6", 7", and 8". The inserts are cut down by 3/4" so they slide easily in the envelope. Measure your envelope and cut the paper to fit and the embellish the envelopes. The hinge is made by cutting a piece to fit between two envelopes and snailing in place.

Splitcoast Challenge 3D 093 3/6/09

I made this really cool scrapbook from a challenge on Splitcoast. It was to make an envelope scrapbook. It was created by Paula Goff. I used the Chocolate Chip Designer Series Paper for most of it and used some of the pink paper from the Sweet Always DSP. I think I will be putting pictures of my daughter and all of her favorite chocolates. I might need a bigger scrapbook!!

These were pretty simple to put together once I got all of the scoring done. The longest part was deciding on how to embellish the inside and the front.

Another challenge

Sparkly!!! This is for another of the great challenges that kwernerdesigns does each week. The colors are so simple I wasn't sure what I would do with them but I like how they turned out. It was hard not to add some color.
It just looks classic.

I used the black glitter from the Chunky Essentials from the Stampin' Glitter. I applied the glitter to a star from the Sticky Cut Letters. This is the first time I broke these out and I really like them! Very easy to use for a little bling!
The stamp set is Warm Words and I raised each piece on dimensionals for just a little extra effect. I then added just a few black brads to finish it off.

St. Patty's Day

I was just playing around with some ideas for a St. Patty's Day card. I don't usually send cards out for this but I thought I might this year.

I used the Sale a Bration set called Polka Dot Punches. I created the color on the white strip by "smooshing" an ink pad. I used Mellow Moss for the ink and the cardstock for the hearts. I stamped the hearts with Garden Green and the "Thanks" is stamped in Basic Black and it is from the stamp set called Thank You Kindly. I added some rhinestone brads for a little bling.

Funky Forest

This is the color inspiration that I used this week for my latest card creation. These colors are right up my alley!!

I used my new Stampin'Up! wheel called funky Forest. I love those little trees.

The sketch is from Diva Coffee Break Designs. As I have said in prvious posts that I am really starting to like using these different resources to get me going sometimes.
